A Weekend on the Eastern Shore

I got to check out the lovely addition of Scout Cafe the other day. What a delightful spot to sit with friends and catch up. You can tell that those working there care about creating a community. Thank you @this.is.scout.cafe for being so welcoming. ✨I look forward to coming back! ✨ A trip to the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Shore isn't complete until you go to Tilghman Island and visit the Wylder Hotel. The modernized vintage hotel features understated rooms for relaxation, Tickler’s Crab Shack, and Bar Mumbo to have some great eats and drinks as well as a salt water pool, bocce court, and lawn games to enjoy while you take in the waterfront views. One of the many perfect spots by @bluepointhospitality is @romaeaston. A quick escape from DC or Philly; the Eastern Shore lies on the Chesapeake featuring small coastal towns reminiscent of the Hamptons. Grab some good eats, take in the views and enjoy a slower pace of life. Who is up for a trip to Jersey City? Go check out Mana Contemporary; an arts center that features contemporary art mounted in an industrial building canvas. Image 1/3: Then there is the concept of how time doesn’t even feel real right now. And who knows when or if life will ever get back to normal. But I also like how this phrase alludes to hope. Hope that time will tell where we are going. Until then, I am wishing I was still on vacation in London and everyone is happy and healthy. ⠀ Image 2/3: We are all prisoners of the numbers...whether a it’s time in quarantine, time until we aren’t in quarantine. Number of cases reported, number of cases recovered. Time until a vaccine. ⠀ Image 3/3: On the last day of Museum Week, we are stopping in London; one of my favorite cities. The art, food, architecture, people all grabbed my heart. I was stoked to make my way over to Southwark to get to White Cube after eating some amazing food at Borough Market. Turns out this piece is perfect for what we are going through as a world right now. ⠀ Next up let’s pop over to Dublin and the Kerlin Gallery. I just love the small galleries. Exhibitions are usually dedicated to one artist and doing a gallery crawl is one of my favorite things. You never know who you are going to see. Tucked away on Anne’s Lane, you’ll also find an amazing street installation of hanging umbrellas ⠀
