Kimpton Hotel Palomar DC is located in the Dupont area of Washington, DC. It’s the area that I have stayed in the most whenever visiting DC because it’s super accessible to really great restaurants and the majority of the museums.

Kimpton Hotel Palomar Washington DC is located off of Dupont Circle, which is the perfect location to have access to a ton of great restaurants and museums, which is my main stops when traveling. When you enter the hotel there is a island fireplace and clusters of seating, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink during Kimpton’s Happy Hour or the snacks they place out throughout the day.
Upon arrival, I happened to get there just as a sports team was arriving. Hello, crowded! The hotel seemed to manage the crowd well and when I got up to my room I realized I had been upgraded to a King Suite! I really loved the aesthetic of this space with the price colors and quirky art pieces. I mean, a piece of art focused around thick-rimmed glasses? That’s totally my alley (says the girl that wears thick-rimmed artsy glasses).
One of the nice things I enjoy about Kimpton hotels is when they have jawbone speakers in them. I love putting on some classical music while I’m getting ready, which I stream from my preferred music app Spotify. It has all of my favorite classical pieces and broadway musicals. Jawbone doesn’t make the speaker anymore, but it is a great speaker with clear sound that is perfect for home or the hotel room. I wish they did still make it!
Of course, I made it to their Happy Hour at 5:00 p.m. where they serve wine and little goodies. This is one of my favorite parts of staying at a Kimpton property. You never know you will meet. This time I was able to make a connection with someone that started their own foundation to help in the education sector. I mean, how cool?! You never know you are going to meet.
As always, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC gave me a home away from home and am looking forward to returning!
